Long and Short Vowels

On November 15, we did a lesson plan on long and short vowels (see lesson plans tab).  The students already had a firm grasp on how to identify long and short vowels within sentences, so this lesson ended up just solidifying the knowledge that they had.  They enjoyed playing with the ribbons and dancing together as partners to try and match the movements of their partner.  I enjoyed seeing how they were able to identify their own sentences and match movement to long and short vowels in their sentences for their performance.
